Hello all and welcome! This is the spot where I try to make it easy to connect with all the goings-on related to my career and the scene I am lucky to be a part of. In brief–I play guitar, write music, make records and go out on the road to play shows. I am fortunate to do all that and more with my band THE LOVESTRUCK BALLADEERS and my swing ensemble JAKE SANDERS & THE MIDWEST ALL-STARS. I also play guitar, write and arrange music with my long time friend and collaborator Naomi Uyama in her group NAOMI & HER HANDSOME DEVILS.
I split my time between the United States and Mexico, where I play with my trio and am involved with the OAXACA JAZZ LAB–a music school focused on developing big band jazz and swing in Oaxaca. THE JAKE SANDERS trio, which features Nulyra on bass and Irán Farías Saínz on percussion is my newest project.
